If your home is supplied with municipal water you can be assured that it meets the standards set down by your provincial, state, and federal governments.  This does mean that it will contain residual chlorine and in many cases sodium fluoride. Both of these chemicals are highly toxic. This cannot be argued. I personally see and understand the need for residual chlorine to prevent contamination of the water supply after it leaves the treatment plant. I, however,  after many decades of listening to the arguments for adding sodium fluoride for the prevention of tooth decay, find it to be a complete fraud and probably the single biggest medical disaster in history!
